A new calendar, with change of dates, but with no qualitative change as far as the proletariat is concerned. He is sick, hungry, ignorant and looked down by the bourgeoisie.
(A proletariat is a worker, who own no means of production, like piece of land, an implement, factory, etc. He/she owns labor power, which he sells and gets wages to survive. A bourgeoisie is one who owns means of production, capital and hires those who need means of subsistence in form of wages, uses their labor power in creating new product, which has value. This value is split in two parts, first he gives it to the worker/proletariat as wage and second he usurps, for which he did not pay anyone, is called Surplus Value or Profit.)
There are visible “changes”, mass protests all over the world, under the different banners, led by the working class as well as the peasants and the oppressed people. Europe, Latin America, US, Arab countries, India and many other pockets of the globe are witnessing the mass commotion, protests, even leading to violence. Some are examples of “color revolution” as well, like in Hong Kong, Belorussia, earlier Ukraine.
There had been bloody wars as well, like in Armenian & Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, old ones continuing like in Syria, Palestine by Israel, Yemen. Almost all of them had imperialist interventions, even if not started by them, making huge profit, by selling arms and ammunitions. Recent wars have seen increase of drones, and the war lobby, agents and mongers have been very active in procuring and selling them, as middle men.
The proletarian is witnessing rising miseries, further pauperization, swelling in Reserve Army of Unemployed Laborer (It is a continuous phenomenon in any capitalist society/country), corresponding proportional revolt and state repression and sadly disunity among its own rank and file created by the bourgeois political parties.
The coronavirus pandemic, economic recession world over, and lack of the revolutionary parties to lead the working class to take over the state power, despite tens of millions of them being in the street, has emboldened the monopoly capitalists or imperialists and their political managers, state and its machinery. The ruling class has offloaded all the burdens of economic, social and political woes on the shoulder of the exploited class.
Not to list all the woes of 2020 or the earlier years, which has led us in today’s position, what we must do is, see the trend of the changes, see the changes in process, analyze them dialectically, relearn basics of Marxism Leninism, the revolutionary ideology for the proletariat, learn the need of the dictatorship of the proletarian class from what we know from the French revolution to Soviet Revolution and their fall, rebuild revolutionary party, based on democratic centralism, educate the masses and prepare for the revolution.
Get out of the token protests, get out of the reformism, which kills the spirit of the revolutionary masses and the protests, however big and long duration that may be, get out of the identity politics. Uphold revolutionary line, follow class politics, with the sole aim of proletarian revolution to take over the state, form new proletarian state and construct socialism, based on common ownership of the means of production.
Workers of the world unite! Long live revolution!!
